Useless Bastards

Useless BastardsIn order for Nanny to hope to exercise any authority over her charges, she must at least seem to be competent and capable; even if her views are vile and repugnant.

Judging from the accounting shambles in the Home Office, it seems that Nanny cannot even achieve the slightest degree of competency.

It is reported that when the gross transaction value of all debits and credits were totalled, the sum came to £26,527,108,436,994.

In case you are thinking that this is a tad high, you would be correct. The figure is in fact 2000 times higher than the Home Office's expenditure for 2005, and 1.5 times higher than the GDP of the entire planet!

Way to go Nanny!

Nanny and her acolytes are without doubt a bunch of useless bastards, who cannot even be trusted to sit the right way on a lavatory.

As such, she has absolutely no right to exercise any authority over us at all.

  1. Yu' know, you couldn't make it up, could you? The former permanent sceretary of the Home Office, Sir John Gieve, is now Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, as I understand it.

Another classic is that of Sir David Varney, head of HM Revenue & Customs for the past couple of years, who has presided over the Revenue Department becoming a greater shambles as each day passes (ask any accountant), and is now moving on to be an advisor to none other than our Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Incompetence pays under Nanny's state, the greater the incompetent, the faster is your promotion!!

Yes, Nanny has a great and glorious history of this. One of my personal "favourites" is Archnanny Margaret Hodge, who sat on her thumbs over the abuse of children in care back when she was the Chief Comrade of Islington Council, and ended up as none other than Nanny's creepiest and most sinister Children's Minister. For a while, anyway.

Good grief, you're saying that the Home Office alone is responsible for spending 1.33% of the world's GDP?

I suspect the figures were probably meant to be a equivalent translation in Turkish Lira or some other such worthless-per-unit currency.

Either that or were forward projected to 2012 or shortly after once the pound (assuming we still have it) has suffered severe devaluation due partly to economic policies but mainly to London's expenditure on the Olympics.

None of this will matter to the average peasant in the street since the London Brand will by then be owned by a consortium of Gazprom, Putin Enterprises Trust, Abramovich Global with China Manfacturing (Universe) Inc having a major stake.

Perhaps not a mistake of a decimal point position but of currency symbol?

  4. Dear Mr Frost

By a remarkable coincidence, £26,527,108,436,994 is precisely the sum promised to me by a Nigerian gentlement who kindly took the trouble to send me an email last week. I am in negotiations with him at the moment, and when the sum has been transferred to my bank account (as he assures me it soon will), I shall write the Home Office a cheque to get them out of their present toils.

Do you know to whom the cheque should be made payable, or shall I just mark it "Cash"?

Trusting you can assist me, I remain

    Yours sincerely

    A. de Tocquaine
