Let me explain. Binman looks in bin. Sees something he does not normally see - in this case a mini heap of rotting apples. His underdeveloped brain says (this is Wales isn't it) awwww boyo dai 'as emtyed waste bin 'ere............job donetimbonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06985165416240833253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377446.post-56016950674206069182009-08-24T12:21:36.184+01:002009-08-24T12:21:36.184+01:00I couldn't believe this, when I read it. Sure...I couldn't believe this, when I read it. Surely, apples are organic material, and as such, ideal for the garden waste bin, which I assume goes for composting: at least it does in Rugby. For the council to suggest that the fruit came from a kitchen, and 'may' have been in contact with contact with raw meat is, circumstantial evidence, relying on supposition, not fact, to say the least, and such evidence is not admissable in a court of law. As to the main source of sewage, I fully agree with the comments made by Disgusted, Tunbridge Wells and skydog. Flintshire county council are a worthy recipient of the 'Prats of the Week' award!Lord of Atlantisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377446.post-89179265844794077542009-08-24T08:17:22.054+01:002009-08-24T08:17:22.054+01:00Disgusted:''The answer, children, BIRDS. The answer, children, BIRDS. And where do birds shit? Everywhere and over everything. Worse still, because seagulls feed in sewage tanks their shit is full of just about everything in the book.

So if the council are so worried that some apples might contaminate whatever pristine destination earmarked for Flintshire's grass cuttings, are they going to take steps to prevent a particularly well (sewage) fed gull doing a luxuriously satisfying dump all over it?

I was under the impression that council officials were supposed to be well-educated - at least on paper. This lot don't seem to have any idea how the real world works.

NB: Flintshire does have an estuary coast.

NNB: There are lots of little sewage works all along said coast.Disgusted, Tunbridge Wellsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377446.post-21301910430100097472009-08-22T14:32:46.701+01:002009-08-22T14:32:46.701+01:00Alas, the binmen are just the jobsworths at nanny&...Alas, the binmen are just the jobsworths at nanny's behest. The real power behind all this intrusion into our lives as to what we can even put in our own bins is the EU, courtesy of its landfill directives which will result in fines to its satellite state of Britain for every ton over the amount prescribed by the communists in Brussels put into the ground. Hence the councils running around like headless chickens to please Frau Nanny. Just another great reason to be in the EU.the man from UNCLEnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377446.post-11144865175457655662009-08-22T13:14:33.127+01:002009-08-22T13:14:33.127+01:00Giving power to binmen was always going to be a hu...Giving power to binmen was always going to be a huge mistake.....Only the paperhats that run the councils couldn't see it.....Or perhaps they could!!Tonk.noreply@blogger.com
