Although there are some profes...I agree with Pete. Although there are some professions where the wearing of a tie is required by convention(and even certain occasions for those not in these professions, such as attending funerals, church or job interviews for example) I think it would be better all round if the wearing of ties was no longer a requirement in this manner. Not only can ties be extremely uncomfortable, especially in hot weather, but one can look smart without such an item. They are also sexist, as women are rarely forced to wear a tie.
