Brown.

It is a form of usury to all intents and purposes and it is past time that the public stood up to be counted before they are economically crushed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377446.post-2198850826142212762007-03-14T23:06:00.000+00:002007-03-14T23:06:00.000+00:00I blame the Labour Government for introducing the ...I blame the Labour Government for introducing the "No Win, No Fee" legal rules in the late nineties. It seems a whole bunch of savvy law firms and entrepreneurs were ready and waiting to capitalise on this new legal legislation. That was the beginning of the compensation culture we now have. That and the greedy f***ers who made/make so many frivolous claims.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377446.post-51372922210248370952007-03-14T15:23:00.000+00:002007-03-14T15:23:00.000+00:00Equally to blame are the 'ambulance-chasing' lawye...Equally to blame are the 'ambulance-chasing' lawyers who have come crawling out of the woodwork to encourage people to sue for compensation over the most trivial accident or slightest injury, and who do 'very nicely, thank you' out of the suffering or, in most instances, the perceived suffering of others.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377446.post-91874106074368090182007-03-14T13:43:00.000+00:002007-03-14T13:43:00.000+00:00The real culprits in ratcheting up this whole nons...The real culprits in ratcheting up this whole nonsense are the insurance companies. Local Authorities probably have a statutory duty to insure for public liability - and if the premiums are set so high, then it is not surprising that they decide to cancel events. It seems there is a load of money in risk insurance for these greedy organisations, and we all pay the price.herschelianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17414522582684680371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377446.post-67255263713578338252007-03-14T11:15:00.000+00:002007-03-14T11:15:00.000+00:00Sorry, Ms Dodd, but it isn't the "litigious nature...Sorry, Ms Dodd, but it isn't the "litigious nature of our society seeping in from the States" that has caused this, but your own home-grown Nanny State.
