Veganism is where the extremist cranks on the Vegetarian spectrum hang out. they deny both their dentition and their intestinal tract. Both of these are adapted to a diet consisting of animal and plant materials. A true vegan would die if living on a totally plant-based diet as humans cannot synthesise all the amino acids we require ourselves. So they have to take supplements. I suppose cranks and cults go very well together.
