The Mirror reports that Melanie Morgan is accusing petrol stations of sexism because their huge 'male-designed' pump handles hurt her 'small hands' - forcing her to get her partner to fill up their van.
Seemingly she struggled to grasp a petrol pump to 'prove' to partner Jared Griffiths that filling up their Ford Tourneo Independence was a strain on her small hands.
She accused garages of 'everyday sexism' on social media when her struggles filling up the van at pumps she believes are designed with men in mind.
I am surprised that she hasn't also pointed out the very obvious sexism of the insertion of the pump into the car's petrol hole!

I have just Googled a photo of Ms. Morgan and she is, may I say, a bit of a 'chipopotomus'.
ReplyDeletePerhaps if she were to keep away from take away food shops and loose a few stone, show a bit of cleavage and wear a shorter skirt. She may find that big, strong men would want to help her with filling up her car.
But as a woman she really should be at home, cooking, ironing and cleaning, before getting dressed up nicely for her boyfriend's return from a hard day's work and not bothering other road users with her driving, which is probably awful.

I am shocked and disgusted that you imply this is sexist alluding to male penetration of a female hole. Surely you cannot have forgotten that in these diverse times that there are those chaps who like to bat from the other end of the pitch who just love to have their holes filled with large pumps
