I see that the 'Elf of Safety Officer from Brighton council has erected (can I say erected before the watershed?) another set of "safety " barriers for the one year behind schedule Queens Park jetty.
Let us trust that they don't suffer the same fate as the last set of barriers, namely get thrown into the pond!

I was told by a Council Member that the Level was filled in because children could drown. When I was but a wee kid I floated home made yachts in the pond and could never recall anyone drowning. If memory serves Queen's Park pond has never been fenced off? The water either side of the barrier looks deep enough to drown in. Regards
