Happy Royal Wedding Day

Union Jack
I wish you all a Happy Royal Wedding Day.

Weather permitting, we will be at one of the local street parties here.

I would like to take the opportunity to remind you that I have a recipe for an unbaked chocolate biscuit cake, similar to the one being made for the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

It is loaded with calories, Nanny will hate it!

Also on the site is a recipe for the Royal Wedding Trifle (a la Heston Blumenthal)

It's so nice to come across someone on the internet who's actually happy about the wedding. Everywhere else I go - BBC HYS, Facebook - I'm being lamblasted for even daring to like the wedding, and I didn't even say anything...

I'm usually all for tolerance for differing opinions, but right now I'm more for HERESY AND TREASON AND HANG-DRAWN-QUATERING for these intolerant and rude anti-royalists who think everyone should join in their hate...

Sigh. *returns to the TV and her patriot biscuits*

    Fully agree Alice.

I am sick and tired of people that just have to knock everyone that has more money than them....The politics of envy.

I am sad that so many people are worried about how much money this once in a lifetime event is costing the economy in lost production. This event has brought millions of pounds into our country.
We see the big retailers insisting their shop staff work, but giving the office staff the day off.

There is more to life than work....I have always worked to live but not lived to work.

We work longer hours and have fewer holidays than most of our EUSSR neighbours.

It is good to see the nation let its hair down once in a while, especially when things are so bad in the world.

The worst example of our pro republican media's attitude was on Sky news; they had a Ugandan born woman of Pakistani roots knocking our Monarchy and country.....I wonder when I get a chance to do the same thing in her country of birth or origin.

God save the Queen, God save the Monarchy and God save Briton!!

They seem like a lovely young couple and I wish them well...I doubt I'll live long enough to see him ascend the throne.

Long live the Queen, as Charles seems a prat.

  5. Watched and enjoyed the whole show live on

    http://www.youtube.com/theroyalchannel

where you can still watch it overand over, all or in bits.

My city installed a large screen but, despite buying a rubbish local paper the day before, I only knew about it because the guy installing it stopped me to ask for directions.

  6. Being of “divine right” limited the monarch; the “representative of the people” is the representative of absolute Absolutism.

In society, just as in the soul, when hierarchies abdicate the appetites rule.

A civilized society requires that in it, as in the old Christian society, equality and inequality be in permanent dialogue.

Leveling is the barbarian’s substitute for order.

  9. Well my Royal Wedding day was ruined by the haters. I've now been self-ousted by several websites who refuse allow me and the thing I like to exist. I left each to save my sanity but it still had me in tears all the same last night.

    What can I do?
