I wish you all a Happy Royal Wedding Day.
Weather permitting, we will be at one of the local street parties here.
I would like to take the opportunity to remind you that I have a recipe for an unbaked chocolate biscuit cake, similar to the one being made for the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
It is loaded with calories, Nanny will hate it!

It's so nice to come across someone on the internet who's actually happy about the wedding. Everywhere else I go - BBC HYS, Facebook - I'm being lamblasted for even daring to like the wedding, and I didn't even say anything...
ReplyDeleteI'm usually all for tolerance for differing opinions, but right now I'm more for HERESY AND TREASON AND HANG-DRAWN-QUATERING for these intolerant and rude anti-royalists who think everyone should join in their hate...
Sigh. *returns to the TV and her patriot biscuits*
Fully agree Alice.
ReplyDeleteI am sick and tired of people that just have to knock everyone that has more money than them....The politics of envy.
I am sad that so many people are worried about how much money this once in a lifetime event is costing the economy in lost production. This event has brought millions of pounds into our country.
We see the big retailers insisting their shop staff work, but giving the office staff the day off.

God save the Queen, God save the Monarchy and God save Briton!!
They seem like a lovely young couple and I wish them well...I doubt I'll live long enough to see him ascend the throne.
ReplyDeleteLong live the Queen, as Charles seems a prat.

My city installed a large screen but, despite buying a rubbish local paper the day before, I only knew about it because the guy installing it stopped me to ask for directions.
Being of “divine right” limited the monarch; the “representative of the people” is the representative of absolute Absolutism.

I wish the Royal couple every happiness.

ReplyDeleteWhat can I do?
