The claim that there has been a "tidal wave" of flu infections leading to a 70% increase in hospital admissions in England in just seven days is bollocks, and is not supported by the most recent data available. 

According to recent NHS England reports, flu hospital admissions have indeed increased, but the specifics vary: An earlier report from NHS England indicated a significant rise in flu cases, with hospital admissions increasing by 40% in a week as of the week ending December 11, 2022, not 70%. 

More current data from December 2024 shows that flu hospital admissions are at their highest level this winter, but without specifying a 70% increase in just seven days. For instance, the admission rate for flu was reported as 6.8 per 100,000 people in the week to December 31, up from 5.1 the previous week, indicating an increase but not to the extent of 70%.

Yesterday the NHS lied twice.

 

Initially the head of the NHS, Amanda Pritchard, claimed that claiming hospital admissions were 14 times higher than this time last year.

 

Like a poison gas cloud, the lie was spread by certain sections of a gullible media. 

 

The less gullible started checking the numbers, using the NHS's own publicly available statistics.

 

Can you guess what they found children?

 

Yes, that's right, Pritchard was lying!

 

Having been found out, the NHS then started back peddling furiously, and claimed that Pritchard as referring to August figures because the NHS didn't have any more up to date figures.

 

Another lie (as the original lie was disproven using the NHS's own figures).

 

The lies damaged the vaccine and booster shot programme, as people started to claim that this meant that vaccines don't work.

 

Having lied and caused immense damage to the credibility of the vaccine programme, will Pritchard resign?

IRONY KLAXON - GPs To Strike if Forced To See Patients!

 

As I noted yesterday, there is a coordinated campaign by FAKE SAGE, certain sections of the media and political activists posing as doctors to force the government's hand into bringing in more restrictions.

I also noted that 

"It is important to remember that those pushing for greater restrictions have a political agenda, they are using Covid as a cover to push that agenda!"

Right on cue, the GPs (backed by the partisan BMA) have upped the ante. 

GPs are threatening to go on strike in protest at the government’s efforts to get them to see patients face to face. The British Medical Association says it has been “left with no alternative.”

It is remarkable that they fail to grasp that their job is to see patients.

The NHS is taking the piss out of those who fund it. 

Its role is to protect us, not the other way round!

So long as the government doesn't buckle to this coordinated campaign, once the cases start to fall in the coming weeks these people will be finished!

Nanny's Health Service - Covid Only

 

The Spectator reports that in July, 45 per cent of patients succeeded in having a consultation with their GP on the same day that they made their appointment, while 24 per cent waited more than a week. These figures are a modest improvement on January last year, when 42 per cent had a same-day appointment and 30 per cent had to wait more than a week. 

The difference hardly marks a sea change in efficiency. It is not as if GPs are having to see more patients than they were before the pandemic. On the contrary, the number of overall appointments fell from 27.2 million in January 2020 to 25.5 million in July this year

There is a limit to how long GPs can use Covid-19 as an excuse for refusing to see patients face-to-face. Other parts of society have largely returned to normal. Shops and restaurants no longer have to enforce social distancing. Even nightclubs are open. 

Yet GP surgeries continue to operate as if we are still in the darkest depths of lockdown. Just 57 per cent of GPs consultations in July were held face-to-face — a little higher than the 47 per cent recorded in April last year but still far below the levels prior to the pandemic. In January 2020, four in five consultations were held face-to-face.

The NHS is exacerbating the problem by offering financial incentives to surgeries to hold certain numbers of consultations remotely. 

During the depths of the pandemic being told to protect the NHS might have made some sense. However, the NHS was set up to protect and care for us, not the other way round (especially as we pay for it!).

In a display of utter idiocy, the NHS has decreed that capital words are offensive.

As per Guido Fawkes:

Commenters on the NHS website are now being chastised for over-using capital letters. Presumably they’re shortly to rebrand as ‘the nhs’…

One co-conspirator was recently blocked from reviewing a hospital as, according to the NHS moderators:

“it contains capitalised words. On the internet this can be regarded as “shouting” and many people are offended by it. Please resubmit your review, and avoid over-using capital letters.”

I wonder if the NHS realises that its name is in capitals, as such will it ban itself?
