There is an irony that Gove comes to Boris's defence.People "offended" by The Foreign Secretary's comments today are humourless, deliberately obtuse, snowflakes-it's a witty metaphor #getalife— Michael Gove (@michaelgove) January 18, 2017
However, Gove is right:

ReplyDeleteThe EU imagines that they can somehow give an inferior deal to the UK, but they are not starting out from a very strong position.
ReplyDeleteThey have recently lost a major member and the billions of Euros that the member pays into the system.
That major member was of course the UK.
So who exactly wants to negotiate an inferior deal for the United Kingdom?
Latvia perhaps, or maybe Bulgaria, Lithuania or Estonia. Or perhaps some other of the useless countries that nobody would be able to point to on a map, and certainly nobody would know who is charge of.
Instead of kow-towing to these bastards the UK should let them know in no uncertain terms that it is up to them to broker a deal with us, and not the other way round. After all, the UK is now free to trade wherever it wants to in the world…….unlike all the EU member states.
Boris seems to be the man for the job.
