- "No eye contact. Penalty £200"

- "Peak hours may necessitate you let other people sit on your lap."
They are amusing and clearly take the edge off the "joy" of traveling by Tube. Unfortunately Nanny regards them as nothing more than vandalism. As per the BBC British Transport Police (BTP) warned:
"The costs of graffiti are substantial for the railway industry in terms of repairs and clean-up, and can leave permanent scars on the infrastructure."Examples of the stickers can be seen here: Stickers On The Central Line.
The world would be a much happier place if Nanny developed a sense of humour and a sense of proportionality.

TfL should consider themselves lucky - disgruntled commuters in the USA are rather more direct
ReplyDeleteKen,
ReplyDeleteI looked at the stickers and thought they were both funny and well produced. I suppose they are technically vandalism but, I think they lighten the hostile atmosphere some what, which people find on the tube network.
I have noticed that all police states and authoritarian regimes have no sense of humour and now we're going down that same road, we have had our sense of humour and fun forced out of us by Nanny and her little helpers.
