  1. There has been a shift in recent years of attitudes to disadvantaged groups; according to Nanny, the elderly are the biggest consumers of welfare even though, we have worked and paid in for our pensions, which we were told would be adequete to give us a good standard of living when we retired. Without a private pension we would not be able to retire dispite Mr Brown's attempt to rob us of our private pensions and the current government's decision not to reverse Mr Brown's policy even though they opposed it at the time it was introduced.

The disabled are also demonised within the media and lives are made far more uncomfortable by Nanny.
I have just received the renewel form for my blue badge; I've held one for over a decade. I thought the questions on the form were for the keys to the treasury or for elevation to a perrage, not for just a poxy parking badge!
Although I am registered with Nanny as disabled and have been assessed by local Nanny's social services deparrtment, she still wants access to my medical records and for me to attend yet another assessment. I am tired of jumping through hoops for Nanny and so I have told her to stuff it up her arse. The way the state treats elderly and disabled persons is a disgrace. It has been said in the past that one can judge a nation by how well or badly it treats the weakest members of it's society.....I suggest on that criteria, we are not a good nation at all.

Well said, Tonk! The way this country treats the elderly and disabled is nothing short of appalling! As for the original post, Ken, there is, alas, many a true word spoken in jest.

The blurb mentions showers for the elderly.
Rather reminiscent of another institute where they had shower heads for showers . Except tjere was Cyclon B coming in instead.
I expect UK youf would approve. And their SS.
