Depends whether you are a buyer or seller of consultancy.
A genuine consultant role provides, typically, short term input to help an organisation through changes of some sort or provide advice in areas where the organisation has no current expertise.
Alternatively they may provide a knowledgable sounding board for idea development. That might be short term or on a recurring basis based on the consultant's broader independent experience of the market.
On the other hand, as seem from the Govt. perspective it seems, they are contracted at huge expense to re-inforce the government's opinion and take the blame when it goes wrong. In return they are given huge sums of money from the public purse and gongs for putting up with the BS.
Interestingly much the same seems to happen in large multinationals when the major 'consulting' players are involved.
Ironically, you are an anti-nanny site and everytime I google I SAW YOUR NANNY, I am directed to your site. Ironic, right. The mother of all nanny sites misdirects me to the mother of all anti nanny sites.
