Loyal readers will not be surprised, but will be depressed, to learn that council staff, health and safety inspectors, the Royal Mail etc are all gagging to use Nanny's “Snoopers’ Charter” to monitor private emails, telephone records and internet use.
The more "innocent" amongst us had assumed that "only" the police, intelligence agencies and HMRC would be able to use the Communication Data Act.
Apparently not!
The Home Orifice has, according to the Telegraph, confirmed that it is considering all the submissions made by public bodies to use the powers to monitor what we say.
A Freedom of Information Act request from Big Brother Watch has revealed that 36 “groups” had applied, but it counted local authorities and NHS trusts once each, making it unclear how many individual councils or health trusts were involved.
The Home Orifice claim that Parliament would make the final decision about which bodies would have access.
So that's alright then!

If this goes through, it will be a blatant invasion of privacy and a threat to free speech. Welcome to 1984: Big Brother is watching YOU!

And we know just how trustworthy politicians are, don't we?
It is really interesting to note that it's not just people at the bottom of this country who will feel the real vindictiveness of government because the entire population is more and more at the mercy of the 'killer elite' - they are killing our people as they kill welfare and kill education and kill transport and kill our freedoms (what's left) This is about elite control of the masses and the economy and the land. the onlt people who will be free of these constraints is the elite.
ReplyDeleteFunny how few people realise this until it's too late
And ukip is not the answer
