Calories Banned In Maths Test Lest It Trigger People

It seems that in maths tests examiners must be careful not to mention calories in any questions, lest the hapless exam sitters are "triggered".

EdExcel exam board has said that students can complain if they felt “triggered” by a calorie-counting question.

The Telegraph reports that pupils protested that a maths GCSE question about how many calories a woman had consumed for breakfast was distressing for anyone who has struggled with an eating disorder.

One student, a recovering anorexic, told how she was so upset by the question that she had to leave the exam hall in a panic.

The question said:
There are 84 calories in 100g of banana. There are 87 calories in 100g of yogurt. Priti has 60g of banana and 150g of yogurt for breakfast. Work out the total number of calories in this breakfast”.
I pity these people, if they are triggered so easily in a school maths test, how the hell will they cope in the real world?

Their schools and parents are letting them down if they don't prepare them better for reality!

Fast Food Healthier Than Restaurant Food

Much to my amusement, after years of telling us that fast food was bad for us, Nanny has now come to the conclusion that sit down meals in restaurants are in fact more calorie laden that fast food.

Therefore we must conclude the fast food is in fact good for us!

Nanny's drones have concluded that the calorie content of meals in UK restaurants is "excessive" and sit-down restaurants are unhealthier than fast-food chains, BMJ research suggests.

Health "experts" say meals should not exceed 600 calories, but in this study they averaged 1,033 in restaurants and 751 in fast-food chains.

Why should a meal be limited to 600 calories?

Who are these people to tell us that?

University of Liverpool researchers analysed thousands of meals from places like Hungry Horse and McDonald's.

They said their findings were a cause for concern.

It is clear that Nanny will not only continue trying to shut down fast food outlets, but will now also try to the the same to sit down establishments.

My conclusion is that these people shou;d fuck off and let us get on with our lives!

Nanny Loves Avocados

My sympathies to the good people of Costa Coffee, who have unwittingly annoyed the avocado eating classes.

Nanny's chums from ASA have banned an advert for Costa Coffee, which urged customers to buy a bacon roll rather than avocados.

The radio ad featured a voiceover which said there was "a great deal on ripen-at-home avocados" but they will only "be ready to eat for about 10 minutes then they'll go off".

The voice told people to choose the "better deal" of a roll or egg muffin.

A grand total of TWO listeners (who evidently do not have a life) complained that the ad, which aired in June, discouraged people from opting for fresh fruit.

The advertising watchdog agreed with the complaints and upheld them.

Costa said their ad played on the "frustration and unpredictability of the avocado".

The chain claimed it was not suggesting that listeners must choose between the two breakfast options, but that it was instead telling people about their promotional offer.

ASA said:
"We considered that, although the ad was light-hearted, it nevertheless suggested avocados were a poor breakfast choice, and that a bacon roll or egg muffin would be a better alternative, and in doing so discouraged the selection of avocados."
I am surprised that Nanny is so fond of avocados, given their high saturated fat and calorie content!

As I noted in January, an avocado contains more calories than a can of coke!

Public Health England Tells England To Go On a Diet

Our old friends from Public Health England (PHE) have donned their jackboots again, and issued a diktat that English people are fat bastards and that we all need to go on a diet.

PHE are calling on food sellers and manufacturers to cut calories in their products by 20% by 2024, with big businesses that fail to make progress set to be named and shamed.

PHE claim that this would slash costs to the NHS by £4.5bn over 25 years and prevent more than 35,000 premature deaths, with another £4.48bn saved in social care costs.

Dr Alison Tedstone, chief nutritionist at PHE, is quoted by the Guardian:
“We have more obese children in England than ever before – we have one in five children arriving in primary school already obese or overweight and one in three leaving primary school obese or overweight."
PHE then go on to say that we should only eat around 1,600 calories a day.

Now, as we all know, Nanny has been telling us that the calories intake should be 2,000 for women and 2,500 for men. So why the 1,600, has something changed?

Nothing has changed, PHE are deliberately lying to you because they think you are morons and can't judge your true calorie intake; as such, if they set the bar lower you might achieve their target.

As you can see, Nanny now openly admits that she is lying in order to get you to do what she wants.

By the way, if we did suddenly become a nation of super slim people that lived to a ripe old age all those costs savings from treating the obese would be more than swallowed up and exceeded by the cost of geriatric care.

Don't worry though, Nanny will doubtless enforce euthanasia in order to save costs!

In short, PHE can go an fuck itself!
