Cherie Rebels Against Blairy

Cherie Rebels Against BlairyCherie Blair, wife of Blairy Poppins, shocked and surprised her audience during a speaking visit to Malaysia last week by admitting to the fact that she has rebelled against "her old man".

"For years now I have come to enjoy the trappings of office:

Luxury flights and holidays

Private education for my children

Free gifts from foreigners

The use of therapists for my emotional angst

The use of conmen to handle my private financial matters

This situation would have continued unabated for the rest of my life, had I not come across that most excellent website

"Nanny Knows Best"

run by one of Britain's leading intellectuals and political commentators Ken Frost

I am now a regular visitor to the site, and have come to realise the threat to our freedom posed by my husband and his party

To this end I have decided to speak out in the hope that people will wake up to the threat to their civil liberties, before it is too late"

Warming to her theme Cherie went on to say:

"Nothing I say here could possibly be construed as making light of those horrible acts of violence, or of the responsibility imposed on the UK and other governments to keep the public safe,

or of the difficult and dangerous task performed by the police and intelligence services

She added:

"at the same time it is all too easy for us to respond to such terror in a way which undermines commitment to our most deeply held values and convictions and which cheapens our right to call ourselves a civilised nation".

She also highlighted a House of Lords judicial ruling that blocked the holding of foreign terrorist suspects indefinitely without charge.

"What the case makes clear is that the government, even in times when there is a threat to national security, must act strictly in accordance with the law,"

  1. I must say this blog is fantastic, its nice to see that I'm not the only one who thinks the government are trying to create a nanny state.

I personally blame the current government for most of the crap this country is currently in. They're breeding a bunch of mindless unopinionate incappable zombies ready for indoctrinating.

I really feel for all those who lost their lives in WW2 fighting for freedom only to have Britain handed over to macaroon like Tony Blair.

Excellent website, Ken. I will be recommending this to everyone! :)

  2. She of the large mouth opened it extra widely this time. The only thing she omitted was to say that Tony makes the laws to keep people safe and I make the money in proving that they are wrong and getting suspects freed. It is a very good arrangement.
What worries me is that a lot of sensible people in this country cannot see what is so obvious -- that we are being increasingly bound in regulation and red tape which would be the envy of Stalin if he were still alive. Ihave thought for some time now that the country is ready to say enough is enough but sadly a lot say "What can we do?"
Ziadoz says that the government is trying to a create a nanny state. That is wrong. They have already done it.

  3. I think ID cards will be the breaking point. Civil liberties groups will have a field day if it actually becomes the law. I hope people will start hitting the government where it hurts, after all we have the most powerful weapon of all, tax. If people could actually stop paying it (obviously this would be hard on goods, petrol etc but if we all do it what will they do?) then they will realise who they are working for.

  4. Thanks for your comments Ziadoz.

Please feel free to tell all your friends and colleagues about the site.

  5. This leads me to think that perhaps nanny herself reads your site. Prepare to be shut down soon. You are a danger to, er - nanny's health.
