  1. What a twat.....I always put butter on bread, whether toasted or not, when I eat pate.....I get really angry when someone tells me I don't "need" something I've asked for....I usually say maybe so, but I WANT it.

All I can say is well done Ken for not doing something that would lead to a court appearance!

For what it's worth I always have butter on my bread/toast when I have pate as well.

The only time I've been asked whether I want to add something to a dish is when I've never had it before. Such help has been something on the lines of "there's already a lot of salt/pepper in this so try it before adding any". However in Ken's case that was just plain patronising.

Thank you for your comment, which has clarified something that was worrying me. Did I make a mistake in coming here? - Yes.

I don't 'need' any of your goods and services - and will now leave in search of somewhere that has staff who appreciate the power of money.

    Good evening.
