Prats of The Week - Bolton Council

Congratulations to Bolton Council for winning this week's "Prats of The Week" Award.

For why have they won this fine award?

The council is spending more than £100K on texting congratulations to people who recycle properly.

The texts will include 'positive messages' and 'interesting recycling facts'.

For Fark's Sake!

Why bother?

Recycled waste tends to end up in land fills in third world countries anyway!

Bolton council, well deserving "Prats of The Week"!

  1. It does beg the question whether our society is so dumbed down that adults need constant positive messages from Nanny just to get through life.
This is the type of "positive praise" we used whet potty training our daughter some thirty six years ago.

Stop treating adults like children and children like adults.

Bolton Council can, of course, only text people who have given them their mobile phone numbers.

There must be an awful lot of silly bastards in Bolton who think this is a wonderful idea and have volunteered their information.

And I suspect that the £100,000 is being spent on the employment of the text senders, as many phone networks do not actually charge for texting.
