Yesterday Nanny's eager little helper, Sajid Javid, claimed that Omicron cases per day in the UK were 200K.
That's PER DAY!
He claims that the figure comes form the UKHSA.
All very nice and lovely, yet repeated requests to the UKHSA for a link to their model that gives rise to this has been ignored.
Disregarding the fact that the UKHSA don't want their model pulled apart, let us consider the 200K figure.
As noted, this is one day's estimate of infections. If Omicron is doubling every two days (as Nanny keeps telling us) that will mean that by the beginning of January there will be over 50 MILLION infections PER DAY in the UK.
Yes, PER DAY!
Give your heads a wobble, that simply isn't possible.
