Sorry folks, totally off topic and not at all satirical today.
However, I read this piece (see below) - yes..I am even going to link directly on this - with horror.
It would seem, that in all but name, Cheney is attempting to organise a coup against Bush and start his own private little war.
Maybe Bliar, in his last few weeks in orifice could "tip W the wink" on this?
Quote:
"Cheney believes that Bush can not be counted on to make the "right decision" when it comes to dealing with Iran and thus Cheney believes that he must tie the President's hands.
On Tuesday evening, I spoke with a former top national intelligence official in this Bush administration who told me that what I was investigating and planned to report on regarding Cheney and the commentary of his aide was 'potentially criminal insubordination' against the President."

They are all as mad as hatters - nothing to choose between any of them.

It is a dark dark world indeed, with dangerous hidden agendas, when the real news of sinister events around the world are not being reported very much in the mainstream media, when the BBC has becomes the Blair Bush Corporation, when Government spin is paramount, and when the brainwashed citizens in the western world are fast asleep, so much so that the truthful news can only be obtained from various sites on the Internet.

As private citizens, we are free (for now) to speculate as to what these Neo-Imperialists might be up to, but I suspect that we'll never peel back all of the layers of hypocrisy and deceit and lay bear exactly why our putative leaders are hell bent on tearing their own nations to pieces while igniting World War Three (or is it Four?).
ReplyDeleteIt is useful to remember that Colin Powell's former Chief of Staff has stated in an interview that to this day he does not know why the US elected to invade Iraq. He did say that only a very small circle of people were in on the decision, and that even within the larger ranks of the White House, they offered only the same lame platitudes that have made their way through various politcal channels.
We live in ominous times.
I saw a report [hopeful rumour?] that Cheney was booed by US troops in the Green Zone on his recent visit to Iraq.
ReplyDeleteNot for the last time, I hope.
Good for him,
ReplyDeleteI presume all the whiners and crybabies will support such action only after the nutter in iran has vapourised Tel Aviv (his stated intention) or perhaps London or New York have had a visit from a smuggled nuke.
Ah! an entry for the 'my nutter is bolder and nuttier than your nutter' competition.
ReplyDeleteHa-ha, well said Anticant. It troubles me deeply the way some of these brainwashed morons spout their war mongering stuff - Spiv - sorry, can't get myself logged into this new blogger site's system, even though I do have an account. Keeps chucking me out, must be too much of a trouble maker!!! :-))
ReplyDeleteWhat about the nutters in Washington, plus their poodle in London?
