I understand there were already planning restrictions on ALL 'informal burials '- even though these caused little or no disruption to the normal operation of the Car Park.
ReplyDeleteHowever this notice was meant to clarify that any proposed 'Royal Tombs' would automatically be refused Planning Permission.
An extensive (and expensive) survey by the Council's ' Directorate For Finding New Things To Ban' found these may not only create unacceptable 'Elfin-Safe-Tea' risks from visitors tripping over monuments ( or slipping on bunches of flowers) - but also occupy several valuable parking spaces, which would reduce the "Kerching-per-Motorist" factor.
For years people thought it was a speed bump, turns out it was Richard III's hump.
