Question For Nanny

Why is Ms Frost (no relation I hasten to add!) having a 6 bedroom eco council house built for her at our expense?

Are you, Ken, somehow suggesting, that having 11 kids, with no obvious means of support , with no mention of a husband or the childrens father (mostly likely fatherS), is somehow an invalid lifestyle choice?? Naughty, naughty! Off to nannys reeducation camp for you! ;)

Ugh. Nothing surprises me anymore. When the end of Western Civilization is written, will it give as cause the loss of values like self-control, fidelity, hard work, independence, honor, self sufficiency, thrift, ingenuity and responsibility? Or is it just rubes like me who still believe this.

Oh, and kids, get off my lawn!!

  2. To clarify, the council isn't building the house for Ms Frost, a housing association is. But the council pretty much gave away the land to the association. As for eco house, that's only because it will be built to current building regulations.

However it's still a stupid act because she is currently in a large house (two knocked into one) so she is not homeless. The council proudly state that they do not have any homeless people - but homeless means in a house not suitable for your situations, not actually out on the street. If she has 11 kids, the oldest must be pretty much 18 or so and so could leave the house, so kick them out. Or least put them in a nearby house. And if she really wants to keep them under one roof (or two), then that's her choice so she (and her children) should put up with the consequences of sharing bedrooms.

And a 6 bedroom house is a mansion in anyone's book.

I am not sure what appalls me most about this situation: the fact that the council/housing association are so craven as to give in to the demands of this person, or the fact that she seems to think that the taxpayer should have the 'privilege' of funding her accommodation and lifestyle. Moreover, it is reported that she has the cheek to say that if the house does not suit her, she will demand another! Meanwhile, genuine homeless people cannot get any help, and are forced to live rough.

    My Lord,

I agree.....It is the sense of entitlement that so many of these people have that annoys me so much......When I was young, if a single, unmarried girl came home and announced she was pregnant, the father and mother would throw a fit: it was shamefuletc etc Now however, the feckless, iresponsible woman is treated like royalty and effectively rewarded.....We live in a crazy world.

Btw, we have a young woman near to us that we call the discovery: for why I hear you ask......Because she has four kids by four different men (4x4) Get it?

Too many people know their rights today but ignore their reponsibilities that come with those rights.

And nu Labour's Human Rights Act, a charter for criminals and other undesirables in my opinion, has made matters worse. I had hoped that the conservatives would repeal this after coming to power, but they appear to be too afraid of upsetting their coalition partners, or for some other reason lack the courage or will to do so.
