Unsurprisingly, Scottish Nanny's minimum unit pricing for booze (introduced in 2018) has led to an sharp rise in alcohol related deaths.
The latest figures from National Records of Scotland (NRS) show 1,276 people died from conditions caused by alcohol in 2022.
Deaths from booze in Scotland now outrank deaths from drugs!
