Yesterday I noted that the good people of the Caxton Arms in Brighton had fallen foul of the council's fussbuckets, and were forbidden from opening because their outside space was not considered "safe".
Within hours it seems some form of compromise has been reached, and the Caxton Arms has been allowed to open today.
Sadly the same fussbuckets stuck their unwelcome noses into the affairs of the Dover Castle, and deemed their outside space not to be "safe".
As such, the Dover was forced to cancel its reopening at the very last minute.
With luck, the jobsworth's in the council will be persuaded to step back from this nonsense and allow the pub to reopen.
