Prats of The Week - The Home Orifice

Prats of The Week - The Home OrificeAh a cheerful, grey Friday morning; just the right time to award my prestigious, and world renowned, "Prats of The Week" Award.

This week it goes to the Home Orifice (so deserving, on so many occasions, I wonder if I should make this a lifetime "achievement award?).

Anyhoo, here is why I think they deserve this award.

The Home Orifice, in a naive and wasteful use of taxpayers' money have attempted to bring the "yoof" vote onto their side. They have set up a website ( for 16 to 25 year olds to express their views about identity cards.

I assume the "brains" in the Home Orifice thought that they would get a tidal wave of approval for the scheme; yet all they got in return is scorn, sneering and scepticism.

"The NIS is an authoritarian imposition on this country and places the desires of the state above the rights of the people. It will entail threatening the public and extorting money from them until they comply.

The biggest effect it will have on my life is to completely redefine my relationship with the state. Now I'll have to tell them everything about myself and will be forced to keep it up to date and will be responsible for it's accuracy while having no power to control how it's used/stored/accessed.

The state has all of the rights and I have all of the responsibility.

Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind

Good for the "yoof" of Britain!

Odd that the Home Orifice could make such a bad judgement call on "yoof" issues, given that our "respected" and "highly qualified" Home Secretary (Jacqui Smith) was a teacher (Home Econ was it?) herself.

Seemingly there was also a YouTube video featuring Jacqui Smith, which was meant to augment the website. However, it had its comments section disabled and now seems to have disappeared.

Fear not though, one individual resurrected it (and enabled comments):

Rest assured, because the responses have not been up to Jacqui's expectations, the government will ignore them and try to airbrush them from history.

The Home Orifice well deserving winners of the Lifetime Achievement Award for "Prats of The Week".

Right....I've got a huge department that takes care of our nation's security, runs the prisons, looks after the police.....I look after the borders, run the secret service.....Mmmmmm...Who should I put in charge of it? A senior General? Nope...A senior Police Officer?...Nope....A senior Prison governor....Nope....I know(Roll on the drums please) a home economics teacher....Says it all really doesn't it?

  2. Very heartening to see that even the youth are fed up with this bunch of war criminals in our Government who wish to impose a fascist police state upon us.

This Government should all be arrested and sent to the Hague, rather than be creating propagandist websites asking stupid questions.

  3. Interesting to note that Government have now delayed issuing cards to young people.

Most youth ID cards delayed until 2011

The British political system that worked well for hundreds of years was for elected Members of Parliament to represent their constituents in parliamentary debate.

New Labour fascists have tried to make that redundant by alternative methods of representation, mainly by engaging directly with potential client and lobbying groups, those that they know will support their dubious agenda, and to ignore the rest of us. Thus they have undermined and de-valued our democratic system of government.

ID Cards unpopular? Get the "yoof" on message and then we can spread the lie that the majority of young people in Britain support the scheme. Horrible Nazi/Stalinist type manipulation of the young. This government really Stinks with a capital 'S' (for Stasi).

Ha, regardless of what we think (I mean 'we' as what was once an independent nation called Great Britain) about ID cards they are an EU dikat and as such will be implemented by our sock puppet 'government' be they Labour or Conservative at some stage in the future.

Only way to deal with the EU is to get out of it - only mainstream party that advocates that move is UKIP. Guess what party I (as a freedom loving Brit) vote for.
