Nanny Invents New Sin To Tax

As we all know Nanny is short of cash, as such instead of cutting back on her expenditure she raises taxes.

One area that she enjoys taxing is that of sins; eg smoking, drinking, sugar etc etc. Unfortunately, because people are cutting down on smoking (thanks to Nanny's constant whining about it) Nanny's revenue stream from fags is dwindling.

Her solution?

Invent a new sin to tax.

Nanny intends to levy a tax on vaps, the product that people use to try to give up smoking!

Millennials Lose Their Ethics

Millennials are very fond of telling everyone else about their "green credentials", and about how much they care for the environment.

Booze Prevents Dementia

It seems that abstaining from alcohol in middle age may increase the risk of dementia in later life, according to a new study published in the BMJ.

Analysis of more than 9,000 people found those who never touched a drop were around 50 per cent more likely to develop the degenerative condition compared to those who drink moderately.

These results challenge  Nanny's NHS advice, which recommends going teetotal to reduce dementia risk.

As a small caveat, whilst Nanny and her acolytes will still go on about the dangers of booze, I wonder if anyone has thought to consider that it may not be the booze that is dangerous but the chemicals in some of the drinks and mixers that people throw down their gullets these days?
