Knobheads of The Year - Dersingham Parish Council
My thanks to several loyal readers who alerted me to the disgraceful story of Dersingham Parish Council reporting Kurtis Green to the police.
For why?
Mr Green has, for the last 12 years, tended the war memorial in his village, cleaning up rubbish and planting bulbs at its base.
In fact, according to the Mail, in January, the Queen congratulated the 19-year-old for his hard work revamping the memorial, near her Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
However, Nanny's chums from the council were unimpressed and have reported him to the police for criminal damage and theft, after he installed some water pipes to feed the plants at the base of the memorial.
The police then interviewed him.
Quite absurd and disgraceful that it has come this!

So it's come to the stage that you can be prosecuted for littering, yet need council permission to clear someone else's rubbish up???
ReplyDeleteWAKE UP PEOPLE!!!
What jerks! I bet those who have decided to prosecute are also always complaining about the behaviour of teenagers yet, when one (Mr Green) does something useful they treat him like a pariah! With this kind of attitude by the authorities, no wonder people feel discouraged from doing anything to make their communities better! A pity they don't put as much effort into dealing with real criminals! I hope the police will use commonsense and ignore the council or, better still, charge them with wasting police time! A very well-deserved award!
ReplyDeleteWell said My Lord.
DeleteI feel that Nanny wants people to understand that only she can provide services and that everyone must be reliant on her for everything.
I say give the man an OBE not petty minded grief from a hi-viz clad bully however, I am sure Nanny will soon say something like.....Hee heee hee, its all a little misunderstanding, we're lovely people and of course Mr Green can carry on doing what he's been doing etc etc.
I hope no-one gets injured in the wheel-skidding U-turn that these knob-heads are about to perform!
ReplyDeleteThis young man showed initiative, discipline and respect for those how paved a way for a freedom that is now dying a "death by a thousand cuts". Nanny cannot have that. Is she turns us all into beggars we will be easier to control.

I am sure the soldiers who are commemorated on the memorial would also have a few less than polite words to say to the council knobheads.
ReplyDeleteOn this occasion I felt obliged to send an e-mail to the clerk of the council in which I appraised him of the low esteem in which councils are generally held in this country, though I didn't put it quite so politely.
Alas Adrian, The Clerk has taken all concillors names off the council web site so you can't contact anyone. She has so much to hide. You should come to a parish meeting and see what parishioners have to put up with. They have no idea it's the blind leads the blind & no white stick between them.
DeleteInteresting as I read about this on FB initially & went & emailed the clerk but when I subsequently went back to look at the list of councillors - zero, nada, zilch. Why do the parishioners put up with it? Do you attend the meetings? Perhaps you could just ask why have the councillors' contact details been removed & see what happens?Presumably this clerk person is in a paid position - paid by you - make her accountable & f*** the lot of them.
DeleteWell done Kurtiss keep up the good work .
ReplyDeleteI also sent an email after reading about this on the BBC site, can anyone get this going viral, those people need to be taught a lession and a few hundred e-mails to their clerk would be a good start.
ReplyDeleteTo whom it may concern,
Re the attached link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-22433409 you are an absolute disgrace and should not hold any position of responsibility, words fail me at your complete lack of decency. Whoever is responsible for complaining about a young person who tends to a war memorial using their own initiative efforts is an imbecile. Perhaps their efforts would be better placed by themselves tending to the memorial, although I'm sure that they would be too lazy and stupid to do anything whatsoever of any actual use.
Disgusted,
James
The Clerk is the problem together with two other councillors
DeleteHere is the email address of the Norfolk CC responsible for Dersingham - john.dobson@norfolk.gov.uk - perhaps he needs to be informed & also informed that emails have been sent to the clerk as the councillors contact details have been removed. Whether any of the parish councillors have been made aware of the removal could well be another matter.
