Ken, it'll be good to have you back. One thing worries me though: if Nu Liebour don't get in this time, will this illustrious blog fold? Or are you of the opinion that there'll be a whole new breed of Nannyism, albeit in a different colour?

    Keep up MH Media Online.

A lot of the worst offenders caught nannying by this blog have been Conservative and Lib Dem councils!!!

@Anonymous.. well I did think of that, but surely the seeds of Nannyism are implanted from the very top?

Don't worry, Nanny won't be going away any time soon.

As anon rightly points out, Nanny doesn't wear political colours. Nanny is not confined to Britain either. Australia appears to be worse than here, on a range of issues - their attitude to driving, internet control, pet control, water control, etc.

It's a cultural problem as much as a political problem.

In a sense, politicians can be partly absolved from being blamed for the Nanny state, we the public get the government we deserve after all.

  8. Ah Ken,

The town you live in, is in danger of returning the first Green Party MP.....Green Labour in effect as they appear to be socialists, having read their literature. I suspect if the Greens get a foot hold, then we shall see a real rise in Nannyism.

I do hope Rosie has been taking your "on going" advice....Perhaps she is just showing you that her paws were clean before she got onto your bed?.....That may suggest she has taken your advice on board...Just a thought.
