Prats of The Week - Tendring District Council/Essex Police

Prats of The WeekOoh here is a fine example of pratishness that is worthy of my prestigious and internationally renowned "Prats of The Week" Award.

This week it goes to Tendring District council and Essex Police for their truly daft plans to chase people who have a fag in a company car, by using "sniffer wardens".

It seems that, in conjunction with Essex Police, the council have decided to set up road blocks across the county. Cars that are stopped will then be sniffed and the ashtrays inspected.

A smoker caught having smoked in a company car will be fined £50 (or taken to court and fined £200).

Ker Farking Ching!

Oh by the way, failure to stick no smoking stickers inside a company car can attract a fine of up to £1K.

Ker Farking Ching!

To my humble view this is just farking moronic on so many levels.

Have the council and police really nothing better to do with their time?

  1. Police state anyone?

This is tick box policing and revenue raising; kerching.

The crime solved box can be ticked....nick ninety nine people smoking in a company car and not solve the one murder committed in your patch, crime clear up rate equals ninety nine percent; bonuses all round.

I do wonder why the elected representitives of TDC feel it is their role to go after "criminals" surely that is up to the police. There does seem to be a rise in the number of "joint operations" involving local authorities and plod.....I wonder why this is, it never used to happen.

The scary part for me is that this is the sort of idea you conjure up in the pub and have a laugh about. You dont announce and actually implement it.

They are worthy of ridicule for attempting to go through with this.

Looks like Essex CC & Police might be 'a tad busy' in the near future - but one must hope that, when THIS operation gets under way, every vehicle leaving the site will be similarly checked?

Essex Police’s involvement could cost as much as £12.2million. Site clearance would take place over many weeks, requiring round-the-clock policing.
Further, there are concerns that anarchist groups and other protesters will turn up to show their solidarity with the protesters.//

East Germany from around 1980 has nothing on this country now. The alarming thing is the cunts seem to be able to get away with anything and nobody bats an eye lid.

Read 'The Silent State' by Heather Brooke - by the end of the book you realise just how much has been stolen from the British people - and just how little we have complained. We now need riots.
