Nanny Bans Brown Eggs

Sainsbury’s Just Banned Brown Eggs to Save the Planet (And Other Hilarious Climate Farces)

In a move that can only be described as “virtue-signalling so powerful it loops back around into self-parody,” Britain’s second-largest supermarket is ditching brown eggs across its own-brand ranges. Why? Because white eggs have a 12.7% lower carbon footprint. The hens are lighter, eat less, live longer, and apparently produce less guilt per omelette.

Congratulations, Sainsbury’s. You’ve solved climate change. One egg at a time.

The Great Egg Colour Wars of 2026

According to the supermarket’s very serious sustainability team, brown egg-laying hens (those like Rhode Island Reds and their mates) are just too greedy. They munch more feed, drop more manure, and live shorter, more carbon-intensive lives. White Leghorns? Sleek, efficient, minimalist queens who basically photosynthesise their breakfast.

So now, if you want Sainsbury’s own-brand eggs, you’ll be getting the pale ones. The ones that look like they’ve been bleached by the ghost of Extinction Rebellion. Traditional brown eggs — the ones Brits have preferred for decades — are being quietly phased out in the name of Net Zero.

Because nothing says “we care about the environment” like telling farmers to scrap perfectly good birds and forcing shoppers to accept the eggs they didn’t ask for.

The Irony Is Egg-cellent

Let’s be real for a second:

  • Flying influencers to climate conferences? Totally fine.
  • Importing avocados and almonds from drought-stricken regions? Essential for brunch.
  • But a brown egg that requires a few extra grams of feed? Planetary emergency.

Sainsbury’s will still happily sell you plastic-wrapped everything, ship products across continents, and stock mountains of ultra-processed snacks. But those brown shells? Too much for Mother Earth to bear.

Farmers are rightly fuming. Politicians are calling it “Net Stupid Zero.” And customers are wondering why their Sunday morning fry-up now feels politically corrected.

Next on the Agenda

I can’t wait for the follow-up announcements:

  • “We’re banning chocolate because cocoa has too high a footprint. Try our new beige alternative!”
  • “Carrots are out — they’re orange, which is problematic. White roots only.”
  • “Steak is cancelled. Please enjoy this lab-grown slurry for the good of the planet.”

At this rate, Sainsbury’s will achieve Net Zero by making everything so miserable that we simply stop consuming. Brilliant.

The Real Lesson

White eggs and brown eggs taste the same. They have identical nutrition. The difference is literally skin-deep (or shell-deep). Yet here we are, turning poultry genetics into a climate crusade.

This isn’t about the environment. It’s about optics. It’s about press releases. It’s about standing on a stage and saying “Look at us, we’re doing something” while the actual hard problems (energy policy, innovation, realistic trade-offs) get ignored.

So here’s my message to Sainsbury’s: Keep your white eggs. I’ll be over at the local farm shop buying beautiful brown ones from happy hens, probably while laughing at your corporate press release.

The planet will survive brown eggs.
I’m not sure British common sense will survive this level of performative nonsense.

What do you think — ridiculous overreach or genius eco-move? Drop your (brown) eggs in the comments.

Signed,
Someone who just wants a normal bloody egg without a sermon.

Millennials Too Scared To Touch Meat

It has come to this, millennials are now so scared of touching meat that Sainsbury's has decided to pack chicken in a pack to pan package so that people don't have to touch the meat.

It said that many shoppers under the age of 35 were afraid to touch raw meat. The pouches known as “doypacks” in the industry are designed to allow consumers to cook meat without coming directly into contact with it.

Katherine Hall, product development manager for meat, fish and poultry at the retailer, told The Sunday Times:
"Customers, particularly younger ones, are quite scared of touching raw meat. These bags allow people, especially those who are time-poor, to just ‘rip and tip’ the meat straight into the frying pan without touching it”.
One small problem, the very same millennials are now complaining that the packages are not environmentally friendly!

When I was a kid, my dad was chums with a butcher and I would often visit his refrigerated room to look at the hanging carcasses of pigs and lambs. Something that maybe should be made mandatory for kids these days, so that they understand where food comes from!

Commiserations to Fanny Carlson, a Swedish expat living in London, who recently tried to register for a Nectar card.

She was declined.

For why?

Nectar's computer system decreed that her christian name was too rude for it to cope with!

Prats of The Week - Sainsburys

Congratulations to a Sainsbury's store in Holborn, that thrust itself into the maelstrom of the Middle Eastern conflict on Saturday.

Fearing an attack by anti Israeli protesters, the store manager removed all the kosher products.
Colin Appleby, a customer was quoted by the Telegraph claiming that a staff member defended the decision, saying:
"We support Free Gaza."
All very well, maybe....except not all kosher products come from Israel; indeed many in that store were from Poland.

The removal of kosher products therefore does not target Israel, but targets people of the Jewish faith (who doubtless have a broad spectrum of views about what is happening in Gaza at the moment).

Were Sainsbury's to follow through on its own "logic" and "moral" stand, it would also presumably remove all Halal food as a protest against ISIS.

Suffice to say, once this nonsense appeared on Facebook, Sainsbury's backtracked and put the food back up on the shelves.

A spokesman for Sainsbury's said:
"It was an isolated decision made by in a very challenging situation. It was chilled food and he was simply trying to preserve it.

It was the manager's decision there and then – not company policy at all. A decision was taken by a store manager faced with a challenging situation outside the store.

Manners Maketh Man and Sainsbury's

One of the by-products of living in the Nanny state, wherein self responsibility and the consequences of our actions have been eradicated by the state, is the general lack of manners that pervades society; manners after all indicate that we have empathy and respect for others, and that we are cognisant that our actions and words affect others.

Thus is is interesting to see the debate that has sprung up over an incident in Sainsbury's Crayford the other day, where a checkout lady refused to serve a customer (Jo Clarke) who was talking on her mobile phone. Sainsbury's, at the time, sent the customer a £10 voucher along with an apology. However, as sometimes happens with "small" incidents, the story has rather gained traction and the BBC has gained sight of a letter from Sainsbury's:
"It is clear this story has touched a nerve as the weight of comment shows.

However, we are also pleased that this specific story is leading to a wider debate on politeness....

...the discussion this has created leads us all to think twice before reaching for our mobile phones and to recognise the great job the many thousands of sales assistants working across retail do.."
Seemingly the Sainsbury's worker told Ms Clarke that it was company policy not to serve people who were occupied with their mobile phones, but that was denied at the time by the company.

I have a simple view on this, it is rude RUDE to talk on a mobile when interacting with another human being.

PERIOD!

There is a certain type of person who seems to regard shop assistants, waiters etc etc as second class citizens who do not deserve to be treated with the same courtesy as others. At this point we can all come up with examples of rude sales staff, waiters etc. However, that does not mean we should tar all staff with the same brush.

Manners are there for all, whether you are royalty or someone who is down on their luck sleeping on a park bench. Treat people with the same courtesy and respect as you would wish to be treated yourself!

Miss Clarke's response to the furore:
"I think everybody’s been guilty of it (using a mobile at a checkout) sometime in their life – that’s how it is.”
Well I haven't, have you?

The Dangers of Alka Seltzer - What The Fark!

In 2007 I wrote about being refused Alka Seltzer in my own club, and wondered at the time why such a harmless substance is deemed to be so dangerous.

Well here we are some five years later, and the other day I received my home delivery of Sainsburys' groceries (the usual items; gallons of booze, some food, Alka Seltzer etc etc).

The bill, when it is presented, always identifies the "age restricted" items (ie booze and fags). Therefore imagine my surprise to observe this time, that Alka Seltzer is now classified as "age restricted".

What the fark!!??

I appreciate that some "over the counter" medicines, if overused by cretinous teenagers for "fun", can be dangerous. However, what on earth is the danger presented by Alka Seltzer and what on earth would a teenager want to do with it other than cure his/her hangover?

Morrisons Are Prats

My thanks to a loyal reader who dropped me an email yesterday, about some knobheaded prattery going on at his local Morrisons.

My correspondent went to his local Morrisons in Crewe for a spot of shopping with his 13 year old daughter.

For why?

To buy some ingredients for her cookery class at school.

Unfortunately my correspondent made one "silly mistake".

He had the temerity to go to the real ale section of the store as well, and buy 4 cans for £5.50.

Can you guess what happened next children?

Yes, that's right, on attempting to pay for the purchases my correspondent was asked by the checkout guy to produce id for him and his daughter. Given that an id for his daughter would show that she was under 18, even though the beer was being purchased only for himself, the purchase was refused.

I am given to understand that the manger of the store was told, in no uncertain terms, that the store would never be visited again.

Quite right too!

Sainsbury's of Nantwich had no such qualms about serving the beer to my loyal reader, even though his daughter was in his presence.

Is it me, or are many supermarkets getting way above themselves and behaving like a right bunch of self righteous, interfering, Nannying bastards?

Prats of The Week - Sainsburys

Ooh err missus, tis time for another Prats of The Week Award!

This week it goes to our old chums at Sainsbury's, for yet again proving that Nanny has managed to remove any shreds of commonsense from a large section of the population.

Kirsty Breeze, 19, and Ian Jackson, 24, were in their local Sainsbury's in Stoke-on-Trent recently and wanted to buy a video for their son Leo who is 2.

The assistant at the shop refused to sell the video to them, unless they could prove they were over 25.

Eh?

Was this a video nasty?

No!

Was this a sex romp?

No!

The video was of "Fireman Sam" (U certificate suitable for all ages).

After much kerfuffle, the hapless couple had to ask Miss Breeze's mum (who is 42) to buy the video on their behalf.

Now those of you with commonsense will no doubt be asking the following:

1 The video was for OK for children, why did Sainsbury's not sell it to the couple without the fuss?

2 Given that both of the couple were over the legal age of consent (for booze, sex etc) why does Sainsbury's insist on a 25 year age bar on "adult" products?

3 The video was obviously mismarked on the computer system as being "age restricted", why didn't the staff at Sainsbury's simply override the system?

The answer to all of the above is simple, Nanny has removed commonsense from many people's mindsets, and Sainsbury's evidently are happy to employ people without commonsense.

Sainsbury's Stoke on Trent, well deserving Prats of The Week!

Big Brother - Shopping Spies?

Big Brother
Now here is an initiative from Nanny that has in theory, I think, a decent motive. However, I am not fully decided as to whether this is intrusive or merely an amateurish attempt to be helpful.

The Department of Health is training supermarket staff (Sainsbury's initially) to "observe" (some say "spy on") customer shopping baskets.

The rationale being that a well trained "observer" will be able to identify if someone is shopping for another person who may be ill or elderly etc.

Nanny wants to find the "hidden carers" in society, in order to offer these people more help.

Apparently the cashiers who have been trained will, once they have identified a "hidden carer", ask customers about their personal circumstances while serving them and then put them in touch with charities that can provide information on financial/practical help etc.

Now I do recognise that many people who care for someone else need help. I can also see that this scheme appears to be very well intentioned.

However, there is something nagging at the back of my mind that makes me feel uncomfortable about training up "civilians" to "observe" ("spy on") other civilians.

I would also like to know in which supermarket Nanny does her shopping, where she thinks a cashier has the time to chat with a customer (as a queue patiently waits and grows behind the "hidden carer"). I have never come across a supermarket where the staff, or customers, have the time to chat beyond a few pleasantries about the weather.

What are your views about this scheme?

Patronising Bullshit

BS
As I have noted before, and has been widely discussed by loyal readers on this site, the supermarkets are more than happy to do Nanny's bidding in order to "curry her favour".

I have just received this patronising piece of email bullshit from Sainsbury's:

"Dear Kenneth,

As autumn approaches, it's easy to start craving comfort foods. But with 100s of delicious recipes at Sainsbury's Diets, you can have comfort food without the calories!

Sainsbury's Diets is the convenient and flexible online slimming service designed to fit around you.

Customer Services Manager,
Sainsbury's Diets
"

A few observations on the above:

1 Why do Nanny and her acolytes assume that I will be unable to "control" my eating habits during the Autumn?

2 Why do Nanny and her acolytes assume that I am overweight (I am not), or about to become overweight (I won't)?

3 Were I to be overweight, what farking business is it of Nanny/Sainsbury's to pump out anti "fat" propaganda in this manner that implies I am unhappy with my body shape etc?

4 Were I to decide that I need to lose weight I am more than capable of using my intelligence, the internet etc to determine and work out the best way to do it...errmm...oh I know...eat less exercise more!

5 Is this not the same Sainsbury's that bombards us with TV and media adverts (especially in the run up to Christmas), encouraging us to gorge on fattening foods (eg mince pies, cream, cakes etc)? Hypocrites!

As I said, this is patronising bullshit; the supermarkets should stop aiding and abetting Nanny.

Prats of The Week - Sainsburys Again

Prats of The WeekSainsburys must really like receiving my prestigious "Prats of The Week" Award...cos blinky, blonky, blimey they been and gone and done it again!

Lewis Peagam, a 28 year old bank manager, was well gobsmacked when he went to buy a pg DVD (Firehouse Dog) from a Birmingham branch of Sainsburys.

The shop assistant refused to sell it to him unless he handed over proof of his age, which he didn't have.

A colleague was with Mr Peagam, and she offered her driving licence as proof of id, in order to buy it for him. However, the shop assistant refused to sell it to her as "you're only buying it for him".

Prats of The Week - Sainsburys

Prats of The WeekAha my loyal readers, tis time again for another of my internationally renowned and prestigious "Prats of The Week" Awards.

This time, not for the first time though, it goes yet again to Sainsbury's.

John Wilkinson, a customer of Sainsbury's, has every reason to believe that Sainsbury's are prats.

For why?

He went shopping the other day, for a lamb joint, in his local Sainsbury's in Cardiff.

He was happily chatting to the in store butcher there, who had been in the profession for 30 years, about meat related issues and how the butcher had been training new apprentices wrt cutting joints and meat.

So far so good!

Anyhoo, the lamb joint was duly presented and Mr Wilkinson then asked the butcher to de-bone it.

Can you guess what happened next?

Yes, that's right, the butcher said he could not de-bone it.

For why?

There was a risk that he might cut himself during the process, and that as he wasn't insured Sainsbury's wouldn't let him cut the joint.

A spokesman for Sainsbury's told The Mail:

"Our colleagues who work on the meat counters are all trained to use knives, but some have not received all of the training to safely de-bone a lamb joint".

Thirty years in the profession, I am sure that butcher has tackled a lamb joint at least once in his life!

Sainsbury's, yet again well deserving "Prats of The Week"!

Prats of The Week - Sainsburys

Prats of The WeekTis a grey and damp Monday morning.

Tis time methinks to award my prestigious, and internationally renowned, "Prats of The Week" Award.

My thanks to a loyal reader who wishes to nominate Sainsburys, Forest Hill.

For why?

Well, he was looking through a recent receipt from the branch only to see that he is required to have an age check done for "non-alcoholic" lager.

Editor's note: He has profusely apologised to me and all the loyal readers of Nanny Knows Best for purchasing such a product, and says it will never happen again:)

Anyhoo, as he notes, the idea of asking for proof of age to buy a non alcoholic brew seems to be counter intuitive (most especially given Nanny's hatred of booze).

Initiative - The Sainsbury's Way

Sainsbury's

Following on from my earlier article about Nanny's trolls lacking initiative, I have this personal experience from Sainsbury's to relate to you.

I made the mistake of assuming that when ordering online for a home delivery that basic products, such as cat food potatoes etc, would be available.

How stupid was I!

They were not.

Not only that, having dropped a wee line to Justin King (CEO) of Sainsbury's suggesting that a bit of initiative (eg get someone to bring the missing order across to me) would be a good idea, I am still waiting for some form of "intelligent" resolution to this (aside from "We are currently looking into the comments you have raised and will come back to you more fully as soon as possible").

Sadly it is not just the Nanny state that employs people who are lacking in initiative!

My advice is not to shop at Sainsbury's.

"Thank you ***,

I would suggest that, whilst the wheels of admin crank slowly looking into this, someone from Sainsbury's shows some initiative and delivers the missing products to me today without charging me for the cost of delivery (I will of course pay for the products).

By taxi or van, I don't really care!

Or shall I write to the other supermarkets (with a copy of my note to you) and ask them if they are able to supply me with potatoes and cat food?

Thanks

Kind regards

Ken Frost

Justin

A brief "heads up" about my Sainsbury's delivery made this morning.

Here is a list of products that were not available, and for which no alternative was available

- 10kg of baking potatoes
- mixed herbs
- sea salt
- tabasco
- dishwasher salt
- cat food pouches

Whilst I appreciate that "sea salt" may be considered to be exotic, how on earth can Sainsbury's run out of potatoes??? I do not believe for one moment that Sainsbury's could not find me some form of potato in stock.

I am faced with having to re order the potatoes etc at a cost to me in terms of wasted time and delivery charges.

Online shopping has no value if you don't have at least the basics in.

I would appreciate to hear from you as to what I should do now in order to obtain my potatoes without incurring delivery charges? Walk to my local Tesco perhaps, which is nearer?

Kind regards

Prats of The Week - Sainsbury's Again!

Prats of The WeekTis time loyal readers for another Prats of The Week Award.

This week, as many of you may have guessed, it goes to Sainsbury's (again!).

For why?

Well my old muckers, it seems that they had a wee bit of a bust up with one of their pregnant customers (Janet Lehain) over the issue of cheese.

Mrs Lehain asked for some Canadian Cheddar while she was shopping at Sainsbury's Clapham.

However, Sainsbury's is a fully paid up supporter of the Nanny state. As such the member of staff serving her refused to sell it to her.

Errmmm...for why?

Seemingly, according to the member of staff, it was made from unpasteurised milk and constitutes a danger to pregnant women.

Factoid: it transpires that pregnant women are advised to avoid eating ripened soft cheeses of the Brie, Camembert and blue-veined types, whether pasteurised or unpasteurised. Hard cheeses such as Cheddar can be safely eaten during pregnancy.

Mrs Lehain, unlike some people, was not prepared to take this lying down and said that she was aware of the current medical advice and wanted to buy the cheese.

Mrs Lehain, finally having extricated the cheese from the jobsworth, wrote a letter of complaint:

"What followed was the most patronising encounter I have had the misfortune of experiencing in a long time and made worse by the fact it was entirely unexpected given the seemingly simple task.

The member of staff told me how lucky my generation of pregnant women are to have such information available to them because this was not the case 'in her day'.

I could only respond by saying that I thought pregnant women in the past were probably a whole lot less stressed and guilt-ridden as a result.

I asked if I could have the cheese if I promised not to eat any of it. How ridiculous that I had to openly lie in order to buy a piece of cheese!

Even if I were ignorant of the risks associated with this period in a woman's life it is not the job of a supermarket to tell people what they should or not be eating.

Indeed if I am missing something, and the Government in its wisdom has made supermarkets guardians of public health without me noticing, then I should like to leave the country now
."

Sainsbury's ended up making some grudging apology. However, it seems that they still believe that their policy of delivering unwanted "health advice" is correct.

I wonder if they do the same for pregnant women who buy booze and fags?

Quite why supermarkets now choose to act as Nanny's lickspittles is beyond me. I assume that they feel that they will get some favour in return.

Prats of The Week - Sainsburys

Prats of The WeekFull marks to Sainsburys for going above and beyond the call of duty to win my coveted, and internationally prestigious, "Prats of The Week" Award.

Lewis Peagam, a balding 28 year old bank manager, was going about his regular shopping in Sainsburys Birmingham. Within his purchases was a DVD of the family film "Firehouse Dog" (no sex or violence), rated PG.

There he was was at checkout, ready to pay when.....

...blinky, blonky, blimey...

Can you guess what happened next children?

Yes, that's right, the checkout operative refused to sell him the film unless he showed proof that he was over 18.

I would remind you at this stage that the film is a family film, not a slash and gore or acrobatic porno film.

Mr Peagam's work colleague was with him, and offered her driving licence as proof of her age.

Can you guess what happened next children?

Yes, that's right, the checkout operative refused to sell it:

"You're only buying it for him."

Sainsburys, well deserving Prats of The Week!

Sainsburys The Never Ending Story

Sainsburys'You will recall that I am not best pleased with Sainsburys' at the moment; what with them making total arses out of themselves with one of my grocery deliveries, and allowing certain people to excuse themselves from selling booze and morning after pills on the grounds of "religion".

However, it seems that I have to feature them again on this site. Maybe it's some form of bizarre PR campaign that their marketing department has dreamt up? They firstly make themselves look like utter knobheads, then change miraculously overnight into an efficient non pc company again??

Anyhoo, this time Sainsburys' are in the dog house for adopting a very Nanny type touchy feely attitude to their uniforms. It seems that the familiar orange and blue uniforms of Sainsburys' staff will be changed to a dark maroon colour.

Nothing wrong with that, is there?

Nothing at all...except for the fact that they claim that it has taken them since March 2006 to implement this change.

For why?

Well, staff have to be told!

In a more sensible company, this communication would take the form of an announcement and some brief discussions with selected members of staff; to ensure that the new uniforms did not make the staff fell like total knobheads.

Sainsburys' have of course bought into the Nanny state big time, and have to do things like uniform changes via a very tortuous process. It seems that in order to change the uniforms, Sainsburys' started a full consultation with staff way back in March 2006. This included, of all things, colleague counsel sessions.

For fark's sake, it's only a uniform!

I should mention one other thing, this story (about the fact that they have been working on it since March 2006) may in fact be utter bollocks, pushed out by the PR men (and women) in Sainsburys'.

Why?

Well you see, Sainsburys' is currently under bid from a Qatari backed firm (Delta Two).

The colour of the Qatari flag?

Oh, that would be white and errrmmmm.......maroon.

Prats of The Week

Prats of The WeekIt is a Monday morning, a tad grey and gloomy, what better time than to award my prestigious "Prats of The Week" Award?

This week it goes to Sainsbury's.

You may recall that a little over a week ago Sainsbury's were featured on this site (somewhat off message) for totally screwing up a delivery of groceries. Needless to say they further screwed the order up by failing to deliver at the agreed time on Friday (the third failed attempt by them), citing some cock and bull story that the driver had changed his route and ignored instructions.

The groceries, after another email was sent to the Justin King the CEO, eventually arrived some 3.5 hours late that day. Needless to say Sainsbury's were not finished digging their own grave, on Monday they then attempted to make another delivery of the same order.

A truly spectacular and stellar performance most certainly worthy of an award, but not this one.
No, Sainsbury's are not being awarded "Prats of The Week" for their failure to deliver groceries, but for something else.

It seems that Sainsbury's has been overcome by a bout of political correctness and spinelessness, as it has decied to allow Muslim checkout operators to refuse to handle customers' alcohol purchases on religious grounds. Other members of staff have to be called over to scan in wine and beer for them at the till.

Not only are Sainsbury's kowtowing to Muslims who object to handling drink, but they are also kowtowing to those Muslims who won't touch the morning after pill. Sainsbury's is allowing its Muslim pharmacists to refuse to sell the morning-after pill to customers. Seemingly a Sainsbury's pharmacist, named Ahmed, declined to provide the pill to a female reporter posing as a customer. A colleague explained to her that Ahmed did not sell the pill for "ethical reasons".

Here's why this excuse of ethics is bollocks:
  • People, when joining Sainsbury's, know full well what it sells

  • Employees are expected to sell products without fear or favour to customers, those that refuse to do so are clearly in breach of their terms of employment

  • Those that disapprove of the products on sale should seek employment elsewhere

  • The salaries paid to the "ethical" objectors are derived from the sales of drink, newspapers containing photos of boobs, pork and other "controversial" items. Why are the "ethical" objectors still happy to make money from the sale of "non ethical" products? Isn't that hypocritical?
Sainsbury's, in theory, should have had the brains and the guts to point that out to their "ethical" objectors; in other words they should have stood up to them.

Instead Sainsbury's has opted for the easy, cowardly route of kowtowing to bullies, religious zealots and bigots.

This country has no room for bigots, bullies or zealots. Those who don't like the system and way of life here have a number of choices:

1 Seek to change it through democratic means, by submitting their views and opinions to rigorous intellectual scrutiny and debate

2 Integrate

3 Leave

Three choices, that's far more than many people get in some religious theocracies!

As for Sainsbury's, by kowtowing in this spineless manner they have left themselves open to more demands and blackmail from zealots and bigots and have further divided society.

I trust they are very proud of themselves?

Sainsbury's, well deserving "Prats of The Week".

Sainsburys

Those of you who shop at Sainsburys may find the following email sent to Justin King, CEO Sainsburys, to be of interest:

"Dear Mr King

Please be advised of the following problems that I am having with your "service":

1 Delivery arranged for 25 Sept 10-12am

2 I was called on 25th at 10:30 by the driver who claimed that the van would not start, and said the delivery would be late

3 We agreed that I would wait until 13:00, and he would call me back before then to advise of progress

4 He never called

5 I called "help desk" 13:30 and was advised (after many attempts by them to contact the Purley Way store) that earliest delivery would be 14:30.

Not acceptable.

We rescheduled for 27th 10am, first delivery slot

6 I was called back later by "help centre" to be told that the vans are only loaded at 10:00, as such delivery could not be at 10:00 but latest 11:00

Why do you have 10:00-12:00 as a slot, if you are not even loading vans until 10:00?

7 I confirmed the above by email, though no one wrote back; I merely have an electronic confirmation that someone would write back

Why do your people not answer emails?

8 Today, 27th, nothing has arrived.

9 I called "help centre", who have a record of Tuesday's discussion; they called Purley Way. The store claim to have no record of the delivery for today, and that they have no record of my delivery not being made on Tuesday.

10 They say that they will call me back, I am still waiting.

-Who has my Tuesday delivery?

-Don't you record customer returns?

-Someone is lying here, who?

-Are you impressed with the quality of customer service?

-Has my credit card been charged for this non delivery?

-What are you going to do about this?

-Why should I not use Tescos instead?

FYI, I run a network of popular, well known and highly Google ranked extensive websites under www.kenfrost.com "The Living Brand". I have extensive media contacts.

Within the network are two sites that may be of particular interest to you; www.baisshite.com and www.thameswaterisshite.com

This story goes on my sites at 14:00 today.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Ken Frost
